The Dominican Republic will be the guest country at SIMA 2026

The Caribbean country reaffirms its commitment to the Real Estate Show with its own dedicated space at the next edition.

SIMA, The Global Hub of Living, has announced that the Dominican Republic will be the guest country at its next edition, which will take place from May 20 to 23, 2026, at IFEMA Madrid.

In its most recent edition, SIMA brought together more than 21,000 visitors, 350 exhibiting companies and partners, and 8,500 professionals from 35 countries. In this context, the selection of the Dominican Republic as guest country reinforces its growing prominence in the real estate tourism sector and its appeal as an international investment destination, as demonstrated by the strong Spanish presence in the country.

In recent editions, the Caribbean nation had already stood out for its high level of participation at SIMA, especially in 2025, with nearly 30 companies (almost 8% of the total) showcasing innovative projects and a solid framework of investment opportunities. In 2026, its presence will be strengthened with a dedicated exhibition area and a conference program addressing key topics such as the Confotur Law on tax incentives for tourism investment, hotel management, legal and financial advisory services, and the profitability of real estate investment in the country.

“For SIMA, it is an honor to welcome the Dominican Republic as the guest country in 2026. Its real estate development model, strongly linked to tourism, represents an international success story that aligns with the global vision of the Show. We are convinced that its participation will help strengthen ties with the Spanish market and generate new business opportunities for professionals and investors on both sides of the Atlantic,” said Eloy Bohúa, CEO of Planner Exhibitions.

The Dominican Republic’s pavilion at SIMA 2026 will showcase a wide portfolio of projects from construction companies, real estate marketers, and developers, featuring cutting-edge designs, sustainability criteria, legal security, and tax benefits that position the country as one of the most competitive destinations in the region. The initiative is being coordinated by Tendencia Inmobiliaria, led by Víctor Arrechedera, with the collaboration of the travel agency Enjoy Travel Group, specialized in real estate tourism.
